On July 2, the launching ceremony of the “Silk Road Chinese” Teaching Resource Construction Project, co-sponsored by the Non-ferrous Metals Industry Talent Center and the Language and Culture Press and undertaken by the college, was successfully held.
The ceremony gathered more than 80 experts in international Chinese education and vocational education, as well as project principals from various vocational colleges.
Participants conducted in-depth discussions on the construction paths of “Chinese + Vocational Skills” teaching resources, clarified the project’s development direction, and injected new impetus into the international development of vocational education.
Han Xiqing, President of the college, attended the ceremony and delivered a speech, briefly introducing the college’s school-running overview and project foundation. He pointed out that the “Silk Road Chinese” project is an important initiative to serve the national education strategy and promote the global development of vocational education, as well as a key practice to deepen international cooperation in “Chinese + Vocational Skills” education. As a participating institution, the college will give full play to its advantages in characteristic majors and international teaching teams, strictly follow construction standards, and complete the textbook compilation work with high quality.
Meanwhile, taking the conference undertaking as an opportunity, the college will provide comprehensive and thoughtful service support, strengthen exchanges and mutual learning with peer colleges, jointly explore new paths for teaching resource construction, and help promote Chinese vocational education standards to the world.

Zhao Lixia, Director of the Education Development Department of the Non-ferrous Metals Industry Talent Center, expressed gratitude to our college for the careful preparation and thoughtful service, and fully recognized the college’s preliminary achievements in the field of “Chinese + Vocational Skills” education. She elaborated on the significance, positioning, work specifications and implementation arrangements of the project, clarifying ideas and guiding directions for its solid advancement. She emphasized that the project should closely align with the needs of international industrial capacity cooperation, adhere to the development philosophy of “empowerment through Chinese language and priority to vocational skills”, and highlight the practicality, localization and digitalization of teaching resources.
All participating institutions should unite efforts, consolidate responsibilities and push forward the project on schedule to develop high-quality teaching resources that conform to both domestic education standards and overseas teaching scenarios.

At the ceremony, several industry experts delivered special sharing sessions on textbook compilation, teaching design, digital empowerment and practical implementation, providing professional guidance for project advancement.
Wang Guolong, researcher at the Vocational Education Center of Language and Culture Press, clarified the core norms and standards for textbook compilation based on professional editing requirements.
Liang Chimin, former president of the China-Zambia Vocational and Technical College, shared the overall compilation ideas, stylistic standards and key notes of “Chinese + Vocational Skills” textbooks based on his rich overseas teaching experience.
Su Yingxia, Professor from the School of Applied Chinese, Beijing Language and Culture College, analyzed the key points of teaching and textbook design for “Chinese + Vocational Skills” education from the perspective of teaching logic.
Song Jihua, Professor from Beijing Normal College, focused on digital empowerment, elaborated on how digital technology improves the quality and efficiency of teaching resource construction, and demonstrated the operation of the supporting teaching platform on site.
Zhang Yaru, Professor and Dean of the Sino-German Technology College of Jinan Vocational College, shared the whole-process practical experience of textbook development from planning to implementation, taking the national 14th Five-Year Plan textbook Career Chinese: Manufacturing Technology (Elementary English Edition) as an example.
Participants had in-depth exchanges based on their actual project progress, and experts answered questions on-site, further reaching a consensus on building a development model featuring “Chinese language as the bridge and vocational skills as the wing”.
The holding of the launching ceremony marks the official entry of the “Silk Road Chinese” Teaching Resource Construction Project into the substantive implementation stage. Previously, the Non-ferrous Metals Industry Talent Center issued the 2026 project approval notice, and our college has obtained approval for 3 textbooks covering advantageous majors including culinary arts, equipment manufacturing and information technology. The approved resources include printed textbooks and supporting digital teaching resources such as audio and video materials and teaching courseware.
Taking this project as a key platform, the college will further build an international cooperation platform for industry-education integration, organize backbone teachers to participate in overseas teacher training and international student teaching, and accelerate the global promotion of high-quality professional teaching resources. It will actively explore the international output model of characteristic “Chinese +” curriculum standards, cultivate more compound talents proficient in Chinese language and professional skills for countries along the Belt and Road, and continuously enhance the college’s international influence and the contribution of its vocational education.
