A delegation led by Principal Dika from Orbit TVET College, South Africa visited our college for exchange on August 18.
President Han Xiqing attended the symposium and introduced the college's educational foundation, professional strengths and international development achievements. Our college boasts outstanding core disciplines. The Hotel Management and Digital Operation major has ranked first nationwide for seven consecutive years, and the college secured the 29th place in the 2026 Shanghai Ranking of National Higher Vocational Colleges.
Adhering to open education, the college has established cooperative relations with colleges and universities in multiple countries, and has successfully undertaken vocational education assistance programs for hotel management and tourism management in Equatorial Guinea, yielding fruitful results in international vocational education cooperation.
Dika expressed gratitude for the warm reception and introduced South Africa's vocational education system and the development of Orbit TVET College. Located in South Africa's North West Province, the college has 10,000 students and 500 faculty and staff members. It is currently focusing on the construction of hotel management and tourism management majors, and hopes to learn from our college’s mature experience in major development, curriculum development and training base construction to deepen inter-college exchanges and cooperation.
The two sides initially reached a cooperation intention at the symposium, agreeing to establish a regular cooperation mechanism and carry out practical educational cooperation. In addition, the South African delegation visited the Hismile Digital Hotel and the Industry-Education Integration Practice Center of the School of Culinary Arts, and spoke highly of the college’s complete training facilities and mature vocational education talent training model.
