The inaugural 2026 Shandong Education Expo was held at the Shandong International Convention and Exhibition Center from August 21 to 23, 2026.
Centering on the theme of Enterprise-led Problem-setting, School-enterprise Collaborative Education, and Market-oriented Evaluation — a National Model of Vocational Education Characteristics in Hospitality Management, our college showcased its reform achievements and educational outcomes in modern service vocational education.
Diao Hongbin, Secretary of the college Party Committee, attended the opening ceremony and exhibition tour, and guided the college’s booth on-site.
Breaking the traditional single display mode, the college adopted a three-dimensional exhibition approach integrating graphic displays, physical exhibits, video promotions, product sales and live streaming. Four themed exhibition sections were set up on site, alongside a dedicated Market Evaluation Zone.
More than 30 physical products derived from workshop teaching, skills competitions and school-enterprise cooperation were displayed, including cultural and creative products, handmade pastries and beverages. By bringing classroom teaching outcomes directly to the market, the college presented distinctive exhibition features different from other participating institutions.
While most participating universities only displayed educational achievements, our college took the expo as a practical platform to verify educational effectiveness through market performance, making it the only participating institution that adopted the expo to test teaching reform and school-enterprise cooperation results via market validation.
During the three-day event, the college achieved a total turnover of nearly 50,000 RMB with multiple products sold out and restocked repeatedly through online and offline integrated promotion.
The exhibition attracted representatives from over 90 universities, government departments and social institutions for exchanges and visits, and received media coverage from Sina News and other mainstream platforms.
Marking the college’s first market revenue generated at an education expo, the event fully validated the practical value of its distinctive education philosophy.
Market recognition and peer affirmation gained from the expo strongly testify to the effectiveness of the college’s talent cultivation model of Enterprise-led Problem-setting, School-enterprise Collaborative Education, and Market-oriented Evaluation.
Hosted by the Shandong Provincial Department of Education and Jinan Municipal People’s Government, the expo themed Digital Empowerment and Innovative Development embodies the transformation of Shandong’s education focus from hardware facilities to talent cultivation quality.
The college’s practice of commercializing teaching outcomes serves as a vivid model for high-quality development of vocational education and industrial empowerment.
The college will further specialize in modern service industry vocational education, deepen school-enterprise collaborative innovation, and improve the full-chain transformation from teaching projects and workshop training to marketable products.
By integrating industrial demands into the whole process of talent cultivation, the college will continuously strengthen its capacity to serve the high-quality development of regional cultural and tourism industries and contribute to the construction of a strong education province in Shandong.
