The college officially kicked off the 7th Primary Training Program for International Chinese Language Teachers on June 12.
President Han Xiqing attended the opening ceremony and pointed out that the college is committed to internationalized schooling and attaches great importance to the international competency development of teachers. The selection of participants for this training is closely aligned with national opening-up strategies, the college’s professional international development goals, and the practical needs of multilingual communication, supporting teachers in interdisciplinary learning and professional growth.
He encouraged participating teachers to cherish this learning opportunity, consolidate their Chinese language foundation, improve their capabilities in cross-cultural teaching and bilingual instruction, and effectively translate learning outcomes into a driving force for high-quality school development.
He emphasized that the college adheres to the talent cultivation philosophy of fostering compound teachers with Chinese Proficiency + Professional Expertise + Foreign Language Competence.
Focusing on the improvement of bilingual teaching abilities, dual-qualified teacher credentials and professional certification, the college aims to broaden teachers’ international vision, precisely meet overseas teaching demands, build a strong talent pool for vocational education globalization, and ensure that all trainees can gain substantial knowledge and apply what they have learned in practice.
The participating teachers stated that they will strictly abide by training disciplines, overcome difficulties, deepen theoretical learning and improve practical skills. They will strive to pass all assessments successfully and contribute to the college’s international professional exchanges and the globalization of vocational education.
Lasting seven months, this training program includes written and interview assessments. It focuses on strengthening teachers’ second foreign language proficiency and cross-cultural competency, so as to comprehensively enhance their international communication and teaching capabilities. To date, the college has organized six sessions of international Chinese language teacher training, cultivating a total of 35 professional teachers.
In response to the Belt and Road Initiative and the needs of vocational education globalization, the college will further strengthen the reserve of internationalized teachers. It will strive to cultivate a team of high-quality vocational teachers with bilingual capabilities, dual professional certifications, international thinking and cross-cultural literacy, laying a solid talent foundation for international capacity cooperation and the global development of vocational education.
