On September 10, the college convened the celebration for the 42nd Teachers' Day together with the mid-year work conference in the Academic Lecture Hall. Diao Hongbin, Secretary of the College Party Committee, and Han Xiqing, Deputy Party Secretary and President, attended and addressed the meeting.

Diao Hongbin, Secretary of the College Party Committee, extended festive greetings to all faculty members, congratulated award-winning individuals and welcomed newly-recruited teachers. Centered on the theme “Promote the Educator Spirit and Foster a Culture of Respect for Teachers”, he encouraged teachers to uphold professional ethics, stay committed to education and strive for excellence, translating the educator spirit into practical teaching actions.

President Han Xiqing chaired the Teachers’ Day ceremony and urged all staff to learn from role models and boost high-quality development of the college.

At the event, Vice President Jiang Lingling read out the recognition notice. College leaders presented certificates and medals to awardees. Eight outstanding teachers shared their vocational education stories, demonstrating their dedication to teaching and moral education.

Led by Shi Meishan, a national-level curriculum ideological and political teaching master and Shandong provincial teaching master, new teachers took an oath collectively.

Diao Hongbin presented souvenirs to new teachers, and student representatives offered flowers to teachers.
The mid-year work conference followed immediately. Diao Hongbin reviewed the achievements of the summer and first-half work, and analyzed current challenges. He noted that the college is in a critical development stage. For the second half of the year, the college will follow the guideline of “breaking deadlocks through reform, boosting momentum via services and strengthening capacity through connotation development”, maintain campus safety, and advance three key tasks: reform of secondary management, enhancement of social services, and integrated innovation in majors, courses, teaching staff and training bases to raise core competitiveness.
President Han Xiqing arranged work plans for the second half of the year. He required the college to implement the annual “11351” work blueprint, focusing on six priorities: major project development, teaching reform, quality improvement, industry-university-research collaboration, governance system optimization and comprehensive Party leadership. He called on all staff to seize opportunities and advance the college’s transformation.

The conference adopted both on-site and online live-streaming modes. College leaders, department heads, awardees, new teachers and faculty representatives attended the main venue. Staff from some schools and functional departments watched the live broadcast online.
