On January 16, Diao Hongbin, Secretary of the Party Committee of the college, led a delegation to Tourism Education Press for special research and cooperation negotiations. Both sides conducted in-depth discussions and exchanges on jointly building high-quality culture-tourism education publishing, which comprehensively strengthened the construction of tourism-related textbooks, and pushed school-enterprise cooperation and the integration of industry and education to a deeper level.

At the forum, Chen Ji, Editor-in-Chief of the press,  expressed gratitude to the college for its long-term strong support for Tourism Education Press.

Ding Haixiu, Deputy Editor-in-Chief, reviewed the long-standing cooperation history between the two sides with deep feeling, and highlighted that the press and the college have jointly developed 13 high-quality textbooks and academic works. These landmark achievements have laid a solid foundation for further cooperation.

He stated that the college’s profound accumulation in professional fields has provided crucial support for the development of high-quality teaching resources. He expressed the expectation that in the future, both sides will carry out in-depth cooperation in key areas such as the development of a series of textbooks on cultural creativity and planning, Silk Road culture and tourism, as well as books related to the culture-tourism industry.

In his speech, Diao Hongbin fully affirmed the fruitful cooperation achievements already made by both sides, and pointed out that this visit aims to take the strengthening of textbook development and construction as the core and comprehensively upgrade the strategic cooperative relationship between the two parties. He emphasized that the college will further strengthen top-level design and policy support in the future, and encourage faculty teams to actively engage in compiling high-level textbooks and academic works.

Meanwhile, centering on the goal of developing national planning textbooks and excellent textbooks, Diao Hongbin put forward a series of constructive and referenceable paths and measures:

First, focus on the standardized construction of new-form textbooks and clarify the technical specifications and content framework of digital resources;

Second, keep up with cutting-edge trends such as AI + in the culture-tourism industry, and develop integrated paper + digital textbooks incorporating AR technology, micro-lecture videos and online assessment systems;

Third, build a collaborative cooperation system covering textbook development, academic publishing, industry guidelines, faculty training, conferences and forums, so as to fully serve the cultivation of culture-tourism talents and the transformation and upgrading of the industry.

Chen Ji said that the ideas proposed by the college are highly enlightening and guiding, opening up new horizons for the press’s future development.

Ding Haixiu stated that under the leadership of the press’s management, Tourism Education Press will, with a more efficient, pragmatic, high-standard and high-quality service spirit, fully mobilize all resources of the press to fully support the college’s exploration in textbook construction, academic publishing, industry services and other fields. Both sides will jointly create a number of brand publications with extensive influence nationwide, and push the cooperation between the two parties to a new height.

Taking the consensus reached during this visit and research as an opportunity, the college will establish a closer strategic coordination mechanism with Tourism Education Press. Through holding regular cooperation coordination meetings and formulating detailed annual cooperation plans, we will put into practice the blueprints of new-form textbook development, golden textbook cultivation, academic work publishing, industry training resource construction and joint scientific research one by one, and work together to make greater contributions to the high-quality development of culture-tourism vocational education and the industry.
