On January 15, Diao Hongbin, Secretary of the Party Committee of the college, led a delegation to Tsinghua University to attend the seminar on the research project Research on the Application of Artificial Intelligence in Smart Campus Construction of Vocational Colleges and paid a visit to the Graduate School of Education, Tsinghua University for academic exchanges.
Sponsored jointly by the Educational Administration Information Center of the Ministry of Education and Tsinghua University, the project Research on the Application of Artificial Intelligence in Smart Campus Construction of Vocational Colleges aims to explore the implementation paths for artificial intelligence technology to empower the digital transformation and intelligent upgrading of professional clusters in vocational colleges.
Giving full play to its advantages in industry-university collaboration, the college, together with Lushang Technology, set up a joint research team to actively apply for the project. In November 2025, the college was successfully selected as a participating institution of the project, which stands as another landmark achievement in advancing Lushang Group’s integrated education strategy.
At the seminar, Ren Huaide, Deputy Director of the Public Platform Department of the Educational Administration Information Center of the Ministry of Education, expounded on the significance of the research project, fully affirmed the phased achievements made by all participating institutions, and put forward guiding suggestions for the follow-up research work.
Professor Liu Yingqun from the Graduate School of Education, Tsinghua University, a member of the project expert group, briefed the participants on the overall progress of the project. He officially released the data standards and docking specifications for the Vocational Education Professional Large Model, and interpreted the guidelines for the construction of professional competence framework.
Diao Hongbin delivered a systematic report on the implementation of the project in the college from four aspects: research foundation, promotion measures, phased achievements and work plan. He highlighted the progress made by the Featured Tourism Professional Cluster in such areas as the construction of professional competence framework, the development of industry-professional knowledge bases, the R&D of professional large models and the application of teaching intelligent agents.
He stated that the college will further deepen cooperation with the expert team of Tsinghua University and outstanding enterprises like Lushang Technology, and continuously promote the integrated innovation of artificial intelligence in the construction of the Five Golden Projects and the modernization of the college governance capacity through a mechanism of joint research and co-creation.
During the visit, Diao Hongbin and his delegation also held discussions with Professor Han Xibin, tenured professor of the Graduate School of Education and director of the Institute of Artificial Intelligence in Education of Tsinghua University, and his team. Both sides reached a consensus on further strengthening collaboration in academic research, teaching and scientific research cooperation, and faculty training.
