The 12th China International Cruise Summit was held on“Blue Dream Melody”cruise in Qingdao International Cruise Port on August 26. Teachers and students of the college attended it and participated in the theme exchange, volunteer service and so on.
With the theme of “Stimulating New Vitality of Cruise Industry and Releasing New Momentum of Culture and Tourism Economy”, the Summit was co-sponsored by Shandong Provincial Culture and Tourism Department, Qingdao Municipal People's Government, and Shandong Provincial Port Group Co., Ltd.
More than 800 Chinese and foreign guests from governmental departments, industry associations, cruise companies, cruise ports, and related colleges and universities attended the Summit.
During the event, the college has participated in the council meeting of World Tourism Cities Federation Cruise Branch, school-enterprise cooperation signing etc., and carried out school-enterprise thematic exchanges on the joint construction of cruise talent training bases, standard research and development, curriculum construction, internship and employment, and social services.
In the sub-forum of cruise talent cooperation, the college shared the effectiveness and experience of the construction of the specialty of international cruise ship crew management , as well as the work of Qingdao's cruise industry in the integration of industry and education, school-enterprise cooperation.
During the activity, our teachers also visited 13 students who had internship, employment and volunteer service in the cruise ship, and had a talk to seek for work suggestions with the manager who is in charge of the operation service of “Blue Dream Melody”cruise. During the conversation, the overall performance of our students was widely praised by the senior management of the ship.
This Summit is of positive significance to promote the organic convergence of education chain, talent chain, industry chain and innovation chain, stimulate new vitality of specialty construction and release new kinetic energy.
