Tang Yuan, a student from the School of Culture and Tourism, won the first prize in the vocational college student group of the recitation competition with his outstanding performance in the work Mud and advanced to the national finals, according to the list of the 7th Chinese Classic Recitation, Writing and Speech Competition announced recently by the Shandong Provincial Department of Education and the Shandong Provincial Language Work Committee.
With the theme of Brilliance of Classics, Continuity of Cultural Context, this year's competition attracted many college students from across Shandong Province to participate in the Shandong-related events.
During the preparation stage, the instructors conducted meticulous guidance focusing on the theme of the competition and the core connotation of the work, with regard to the control of pronunciation, the ups and downs of intonation, and the transmission of emotions during recitation.
In the competition, Tang Yuan recited Mud with deep feeling and full emotion, demonstrating solid language skills and artistic expression, which won high recognition from the judges.
In recent years, the college has attached great importance to the dissemination, promotion and rooting of excellent traditional Chinese culture. Through curriculum construction, club activities, competition training and other forms, it has guided students to perceive the charm of classics and improve their humanistic quality.
