The college is selected as China-ASEAN Outstanding Partnership in TVET

From July 24 to 27, the 2025 China-ASEAN Education Exchange Week, co-hosted by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Education, and the People's Government of Guizhou Province, was held in Guiyang.

During the event, the 2025 China-ASEAN TVET Consortium Annual Conference was held concurrently, with Party Secretary Diao Hongbin attending the event.

At the event, the college was selected into the third batch of China-ASEAN Outstanding Partnership in TVET by virtue of its China-Singapore cooperation project, becoming the first institution in Shandong Province to receive this honor.

 

At the conference, Diao Hongbin, on behalf of the college, accepted the award and the plaque.

Zhang Yong, Dean of the School of Hotel Engineering, shared the basic information of the school's selected project - the China-Singapore School-Enterprise collaborative education model.

The selection of China-ASEAN Outstanding Partnership in TVET is initiated by the China Education Association for International Exchange. It selects 10 bilateral or multilateral cooperation projects in the field of vocational education with remarkable achievements every year, and this initiative will last for 5 consecutive years.

In response to the problems raised by cooperative enterprises, the selected project has joined hands with Singaporean institutions and cooperative enterprises. The three parties have jointly developed digital bilingual teaching resources and co-compiled and published professional textbooks, accurately meeting industrial needs, working together to solve enterprise pain points, and achieving remarkable results.

Among them, the tripartite team jointly participated in the Solar Decathlon International Competition and won the global second place and the Best Engineering Structure Award; the college signed a vocational education exchange project with Temasek Polytechnic, Singapore and held the Chinese Plus Smart Energy Experience Study Program, which attracted teachers and students from Temasek Polytechnic to conduct in-depth field research and exchanges in cooperative enterprises and carry out immersive studies.

On the basis of the school-enterprise co-built Hardhitter Smart Energy Industry Institute and the integration of production and education training base, the cooperation project between the college and Qingdao Hardhitter Electronic Co., Ltd was selected into the Second Batch of Shandong Province On-site Engineer Special Training Program, which provided talent support for the local new energy industry chain and was highly recognized by enterprises and the market.

The selection as China-ASEAN Outstanding Partnership in TVET  marks a solid step for the college in serving the national opening-up strategy, strengthening international exchanges in vocational education, especially in the training of green energy engineering talents.

Adhering to the concept of integration of production and education of enterprises set questions, schools and enterprises answer together, and the market evaluates, the college will continue to promote scenario-based teaching, set up teaching areas in enterprises, and realize classrooms in workshops;promote resource localization, actively develop customized training course systems for ASEAN countries; strengthen teacher co-education, establish a mechanism for teacher exchange and technology sharing, and take the integration of production and education as an engine to serve the overseas development of Chinese enterprises in the Belt and Road Initiative.
