‘Qingdao Vocational College Cup’ 2024 Qingdao Universities Athletics Meeting was held on 30-31 May, and we won the second place of Group B, the first place of women's group B, and the fifth place of men's group B, as well as the gold medals in many events;
Yi Kuiyu and Chen Yaru won the title of ‘Excellent Athlete’, while Lu Yi and Li Wenfeng won the title of ‘Excellent Coach’. The school won the ‘Excellent Organisation Award’.
Qingdao Universities Athletics Meeting is held once a year, which is a grand event of Qingdao's university and college sports, and there are four groups in this event: Group A (ordinary undergraduate universities), Group B (higher vocational colleges), Group C (private colleges and independent colleges) and Group D (high-level athletes).
20 athletes from our college formed a team, with Mr Xia Fei as the team leader, and Lu Tao, Lu Yi and Li Wenfeng as the coaches. Before the game, the coaches carefully selected team members and carefully organised training, athletes prepare for the game during the hard training.
In recent years, the college puts sports as the fundamental task of enhancing the comprehensive quality of students, and the achievement shows the improvement of school sports education, reflecting the students’ sportsmanship of struggling arduously and sincerity and solidarity.
