To fully demonstrate the unity and concerted efforts of all faculty, staff and students, the college launched the annual selection of Top Ten Events. 1. New Achievements in Comprehensive and Strict Party Governance
Solidly advancing the Ministry of Education's special initiative Strong Nation Journey for Party branch secretaries who are double leaders among teachers, the college established a red link for vocational education cooperation between Shandong and Kashgar, and built a progressive training pattern for innovation and entrepreneurship at the ministerial-provincial-college levels. One branch passed the acceptance as a national model branch, and one general branch passed the acceptance as a provincial benchmark college.
Vigorously promoting the construction of Party building brands, 15 brands were awarded characteristic ones of Lushang Group and selected into the excellent innovation cases of Party building in the provincial education system.
Implementing the College-Enterprise Party Building 1+1 initiative, 6 college-enterprise Party building platforms were built to strengthen the organizational guarantee for the integration of industry and education.
2. Adhering to the Talent-Strong College Strategy to Build a Talent Highland for Development
Strengthening the three-level joint teacher work mechanism, the college held multiple forums on promoting the spirit of educators, launched the themed publicity column Hismile Teachers, and established Teacher Leadership Studios, creating a sound ecology for cultivating great teachers under the leadership of Party building.
Systematically advancing the talent-strong college strategy, the teaching team of the Hotel Management and Digital Operation major was selected into the second batch of national vocational education teacher teaching innovation teams, and the Shandong Cuisine Craftsman Institute was successfully included in the list of key supported provincial craftsman institutes.
Teachers won 4 first and second prizes in the Provincial Young Teachers' Teaching Competition, and one first prize, one second prize and one third prize in the Provincial Teaching Ability Competition.
Twenty-seven teachers obtained provincial and municipal talent titles such as Qilu Craftsman, Shandong Handicraft Craftsman and Qingdao Top Talent, 6 teachers won provincial and municipal May 1st Labor Medals, and a Qingdao Postdoctoral Innovation Practice Base was established, effectively improving the overall strength of the talent team.

3. Grandly Held the 80th Anniversary High-Quality Development Conference
On October 28th, the college grandly held the 80th Anniversary High-Quality Development Conference. All faculty, staff, students, alumni at home and abroad, and people from all walks of life who care about and support the university's construction and development gathered online and offline to jointly witness the 80-year glory of the college.
Diao Hongbin, Secretary of the college Party Committee, delivered a report on the college's career development entitled Striving to Build a Vocational Undergraduate College and Become a Cradle of Professional Talents for China's Hotel Industry.
More than 200 universities and college-enterprise cooperation units at home and abroad sent congratulatory letters and telegrams. The series of activities for the 80th anniversary received widespread attention from the media of all sectors of society, and the High-Quality Development Conference was reported by more than 30 media platforms, effectively expanding the university's social popularity and reputation.
4. The Industry-Education Integration Concept of Enterprises Raise Questions, Colleges and Enterprises Cooperate to Answer, and the Market Evaluates is Solidly Advanced
In 2025, the college systematically proposed, solidly promoted and fully verified the industry-education integration concept of Enterprises Raise Questions, Colleges and Enterprises Cooperate to Answer, and the Market Evaluates, promoting a fundamental transformation of the talent training logic from college -oriented to demand-oriented, which attracted widespread attention in the industry.
The institutionalization of the concept was systematically designed, proposing the construction of a strategy-demand dual-drive question-raising mechanism, an empowered answer-cooperating model of platform-project, and a market-value oriented evaluation system, striving to build a sustainable, self-sustaining and evaluable closed loop of industry-education integration.
The practice of the concept became prevalent. All professional clusters of the college directly obtained real needs from industry enterprises such as Lushang Technology, Yinzuo Group, Haier Smart Home, Shandong Innovation Research Institute, Alibaba Cainiao Network, Shandong Cultural Tourism Cloud and Xizi Otis Elevator through undertaking commissioned technological research and development, introducing real commercial projects, and co-building industrial colleges, ensuring that all teaching and scientific research activities start from clear and real industrial questions.
The practical value of the concept was fully verified. The college was selected as the third batch of China-ASEAN Vocational Education Excellent Partners by virtue of the China-Singapore college-enterprise cooperation project; the products jointly developed with Shandong Innovation Research Institute were successfully put into production; the enterprise-exclusive live broadcast room was officially launched; the products developed for Yinzuo Central Kitchen passed the second demonstration; the Tourism Big Data On-site Engineer Class started again; the Haier Smart Home cooking curve research and development project went deeper; the Xizi Otis Elevator mainboard maintenance project entered actual combat; and the Lushang Modern Urban Service Industry Institute and Lushang Digital Marketing Industry Institute operated in a substantial manner.
5. Raising, Solving and Answering Questions - The College Held the First Cadre Forum
On August 20th, the college held the Raising, Solving and Answering Questions cadre forum, with the theme of Seeking Development Based on Posts and Talking about Responsibility Focusing on the Overall Situation. On the basis of extensive and in-depth research, 9 comrades from the college put forward suggestions for the high-quality development of the college from the perspectives of deepening secondary management, strengthening education and teaching, and promoting the development of counselors.
Diao Hongbin, Secretary of the Party Committee, presided over the forum and made comments. The cadre forum provided an important platform for the college's cadres and teachers to exchange ideas, collide with wisdom and temper their abilities, achieving the effects of unifying thinking, updating concepts and combining theory with practice.
The cadres participating in this forum faced problems directly, further condensed the consensus on development, and provided strong support for the scientific decision-making of the Party Committee.
6. Dual Clusters Integration, Cultural Nurturing, and Setting a Benchmark for Cultural Tourism Empowerment and Vocational Education Assistance to Xinjiang
The college's High-Quality Tourism Professional Cluster and Kashgar Vocational and Technical College's Cultural Tourism Professional Cluster implemented integrated planning and construction. The person in charge of the national-level Double High-Level Program professional cluster served as the dean for assisting Xinjiang, realizing coordinated construction in the five-gold aspects of majors, courses, teaching materials, teams and practical training.
In terms of teacher team construction, joint teaching and research activities were carried out monthly to promote one-on-one pairing of teaching and research sections; 20 Kashgar teachers were organized to receive training in Qingdao, Wuhan etc., and 2 teachers were guided to obtain national senior tourism customizer certification; renowned teachers were selected to give 7 special lectures, driving 4 teachers to participate in the compilation of 3 teaching materials, and guiding the application of 36 projects at all levels; teachers won 7 university-level teaching competition awards and 1 third prize in the autonomous region-level teaching ability competition.
In terms of industry-education integration, two cultural tourism industrial colleges were signed and co-built, and the Cloud Tour Kashgar smart platform was jointly developed. In skill competitions, 1 first prize, 4 second prizes and 1 third prize at the autonomous region level were won, and 1 bronze prize in the innovation competition.
The summer Hundred Villages Plan covered 43 villages in Shandong and 23 administrative villages in Kashgar, with a total of more than 1,000 teachers and students participating. Service brands such as Yilv Sunshine were incubated, forming a sustainable rural revitalization assistance mechanism.
7. The Professional Clusters Fully Integrate into the Industrial Development of Lushang Group
In 2025, closely following Lushang Group's strategic deployment of One Industry, One Chessboard; Education Integration, the college promoted the systematic integration of professional clusters into industrial development, upgrading industrial coordination from single-point breakthrough to systematic exploration.
The college's intellectual resources accurately met the group's industrial needs, achieving remarkable results in collaborative innovation. Cooperating with Lushang Technology, it developed China's first vertical large model for cultural tourism professional education Yantu and the digital human agent Pin Xiaoyan; cooperating with Shandong Innovation Research Institute, it developed a number of innovative products for the Eastward Migration of Large Warehouses project and put them into production, applying for 6 patents and 3 copyrights; it customized and developed 11 new sauce-braised products for Yinzuo Group's central kitchen, providing direct technical support.
In talent training and platform construction, substantial carriers for in-depth coordination were built. Teachers and students were organized to carry out immersive on-the-job training in enterprises; industrial colleges driven by real projects such as Lushang Modern Life Service Industry College and Lushang Digital Marketing Industry Institute were co-built with group enterprises; an online marketing platform was co-built with Yinzuo to realize a practical closed loop of teaching + operation.
At the business level, in-depth cooperation was carried out with internal units of the group in training, education, supply chain and other fields.
8. Teachers and Students Won 135 Awards in Provincial and Higher-Level Skill Competitions and Teaching Competitions
In 2025, the college continued to make breakthroughs in various skill competitions at all levels, fully demonstrating its leading position and comprehensive strength in vocational education talent training and industry services.
Students won 3 gold medals and 1 silver medal in the WorldSkills Competition for Vocational Colleges. Among them, the team in the Art and Design track advanced to the ranking competition with the first place in the country, achieving a historic breakthrough for the college in this competition; they won 4 first prizes, 10 second prizes and 5 third prizes in the Provincial Vocational College Skill Competition, covering more than 70% of the majors.
Teachers and students won 3 gold medals, 1 silver medal, 1 bronze medal and 3 merit awards in the Provincial Vocational Skill Competition; 5 first prizes, 6 second prizes and 4 third prizes in the National Final of the Belt and Road & BRICS Skills Development and Technology Innovation Competition, and 24 awards in the provincial (regional) selection competition; 58 awards in the Provincial Skills Revitalize Shandong Vocational Skill Competition; and more than 300 awards in other provincial and municipal skill competitions such as the Qingdao Vocational Skill Competition.
The teachers won 2 first prizes and 2 second prizes in the Provincial College Young Teachers' Teaching Competition, and one first prize, one second prize and one third prize in the Provincial Vocational College Teaching Ability Competition.
The college undertook 1 Provincial Vocational College Skill Competition, 3 Provincial Vocational Skill Competitions, 3 Provincial Skills Revitalize Shandong Vocational Skill Competitions, and 15 various vocational skill competitions in Qingdao.
9. Selected as a Provincial Double High-Level Program Construction College with Excellent Results
Corresponding to the strategies of Ecological Protection and High-Quality Development of the Huanghe River Basin and Strong Tourism Province, the High-Quality Tourism Professional Cluster closely connects with the high-quality tourism industry in Shandong's top ten industries and the goose formation industrial cluster. Based on the service design scenarios of beautiful scenery, beautiful accommodation and delicious food, it closely meets the needs of enterprises for high-end tourism product development and operation talents in transformation and upgrading, serving the construction of Qingdao as a world-class tourist destination city and an internationally renowned coastal tourist city.
Corresponding to the strategies of Digital China and Digital Strong Province, the Intelligent Internet of Things Professional Cluster connects with the new generation of information technology industry in Shandong's 6997 modern industrial system. It closely links with six sub-scenarios in smart city construction, namely smart communities, smart parks, smart energy, smart environmental protection, smart cultural tourism and smart health care, providing in-depth services for high-quality urban development, efficient governance and high-quality life.
10. The First Phase of the Oceantech Valley Campus Construction Sets Sail
On March 5th, the groundbreaking ceremony for the first phase of the Blue Valley Campus project was grandly held; in December, the Real Estate Right Certificate for 103 mu (about 7 hectares) of land was successfully obtained, bringing the total land area acquired to 468.3 mu( about 31hectares).
The canteen and No. 1 student dormitory building have been capped; the main frames of No. 1 and No. 2 teaching and training buildings have been completed by 60%, and a modern teaching and training base is emerging, which will provide strong support for the college's talent training.
The project is planned to be completed in May 2027 and officially put into use in September. Carrying the college's dreams and hopes, the Oceantech Valley Campus not only expands space and provides support for our development, but also marks an important milestone in the college's journey towards glory.
