The 19th "Challenge Cup" National Extracurricular Academic and Technological Works Competition for College Students was held at Nanjing University from October 31 to November 3.
The Competition was hosted jointly by the Central Committee of the Communist Youth League, China Association for Science and Technology, Ministry of Education, Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, Chinese Academy of Engineering, All-China Students’ Federation, and the People’s Government of Jiangsu Province.
The college’s entry titled Unleashing Positive Economic Value: How Can the Youth-Popular Scripted Entertainment Industry Move Toward Standardization? — A Survey Based on 273 Scripted Entertainment Entities in Shandong Province won the second prize at the national level.
With the theme of Youth Stands Firm in Contributing to Chinese-Style Modernization, this year’s competition established a 1 plus 2 plus N operational framework. It attracted over 400,000 works from more than 2,700 universities nationwide, involving over 3 million students, among which 640 works qualified for the main competition.
Guided by teachers Chen Chao and Cong Yi from the School of Culture&Tourism, the award-winning work was completed by 6 students including Liu Ziwei, Liu Xiaoyu, and Zhang Lingge. It stood out in the final review after going through multiple stages: college-level, provincial-level, and national-level competitions.
This award fully reflects the remarkable achievements of our college in fostering students’ innovative awareness and practical abilities, and also showcases the excellent spirit of our students who dare to challenge themselves and serve the country through scientific and technological innovation.
Taking competitions like the Challenge Cup as important platforms, the college will further improve the science and innovation education system, extensively build science and technology innovation competition platforms, continuously track and cultivate outstanding works, and promote the transformation of achievements, so as to continuously inject youthful momentum into the high-quality development of the college.
