The Tourism Route Innovation & Design Event of the 2025 Qingdao Intercollegiate Vocational Skills Competition was held at the college on November 1.
The contestants from secondary and higher vocational colleges, as well as tourism enterprises across Qingdao, gathered to compete with innovative ideas and professional skills, demonstrating the prowess of modern tourism professionals.
Aligned with national and provincial competition standards, this event focused on the demand for new-quality productive forces amid cultural-tourism integration and digital transformation. It aimed to enhance contestants’ vocational skills, innovative practical abilities, industry adaptability, and career competitiveness through competition-led development.
The event comprehensively assessed contestants in four key areas: route planning, product innovation, marketing promotion, and presentation skills. Following competition rules, contestants were required to develop systematic plans and designs based on designated requirements—covering market analysis, route design, cultural and creative integration, and marketing strategies—and complete both a written tourism route innovation & marketing proposal and an on-site practical demonstration.
The jury evaluated entries based on criteria including innovation and uniqueness, market alignment, experience and interactivity, feasibility and implementability, and presentation clarity. 3 first prizes, 5 second prizes, and 7 third prizes were awarded based on scores.
The college attached great importance to hosting this event. The School of Culture and Tourism organized it meticulously, and all staff collaborated closely to ensure the competition ran smoothly, safely, and efficiently.
The competition venue maintained a tense yet orderly atmosphere. Contestants remained energetic and composed, fully demonstrating the innovative awareness and practical abilities of tourism management professionals, which won wide praise from judges and spectators.
The hosting of this competition fully reflects The college’s comprehensive strength in organizing vocational skills events and promoting professional teaching reform. It also serves as a platform for showcasing achievements, exchanging experiences, and competing in professional skills.
