The 7th Shandong College Counselors' Competence Competition was held from October 31 to November 2, hosted by the Education Working Committee of the CPC Shandong Provincial Committee. Li Ang from the college stood out among 179 contestants across the province and won the first prize.
The college also became the only higher vocational college in Shandong to win the first prize for six consecutive editions of this competition.
This year’s competition consisted of two preliminary rounds—Basic Knowledge Test and Theoretical Publicity—and two final rounds—Counseling Conversation and Case Discussion. It comprehensively assessed counselors in multiple dimensions, including theoretical literacy, professional knowledge, value guidance ability, educational guidance skills, and emergency response capability, serving as a full-scale test of their overall quality.
The college attached great importance to this competition. It coordinated the preparation work on multiple occasions, guided the establishment of a preparation team, and arranged for several counselors to collaborate with clear divisions of labor to provide high-quality support services. The School of Culture and Tourism also gave full support to the contestant.
Taking this competition as an opportunity, we will focus on the core competencies of counselors, improve the training system for the counselor team, and continuously advance the professionalization and expertization of counselors. This effort is to contribute practically to the high-quality development of the college.

It is a landmark event for the development of college counselor teams in Shandong. It aims to promote learning and capacity building through competition, and comprehensively enhance counselors' practical work ability, research capability, and professional competence.
