The Provincial Round of the 2025 National Intercollegiate Interior Design Skills Competition was held in Rizhao from October 10th to 12th. In this competition, Gong Longhao and Sun Xiangkai, students majoring in Environmental Art Design from our school, under the guidance of teachers Zhou Haiyan and Dong Jingjing from the School of Art, won the First Prize and were selected for the National Round. Additionally, Zhou Xiaoxuan and Liang Yunhao claimed the Second Prize.

This competition is closely aligned with the national development strategy and closely connected to the interior design and creative design industry. Its aim is to enhance the technical and professional skills of teachers and students in vocational colleges and cultivate talents with comprehensive technical capabilities.

The competition lasting for six hours covers three major modules, including six tasks in total: professional fundamentals and hand-drawn conceptual design schemes, rendering and construction drawing creation, as well as competition summary and presentation.

With actual engineering projects as the carrier of the competition, the real work processes, tasks and requirements of the industry are integrated into it, promoting the seamless connection between the school's practical teaching and the actual production of enterprises.

This competition fully demonstrates the solid professional knowledge and excellent practical abilities of our students.

At the same time, it also reflects the educational achievements of the School of Arts in the process of teaching reform—adhering to the principle of promoting learning through competitions and teaching through competitions, strengthening school-enterprise cooperation, constantly updating teaching content, focusing on the all-round development of students, and making great efforts to improve their vocational skills.
