The 2025 National Forum of Hospitality and Tourism College Presidents was held in Chongqing from September 18 to 20. The event was guided by the National Culinary Vocational Education Teaching Steering Committee, hosted by the China Cuisine Association and Chongqing Tourism Vocational College, and co-organized by the Cuisine Education Working Committee of the China Cuisine Association.

Diao Hongbin attended the forum and delivered a keynote speech, titled Exploration and Practice of Implementation Paths for Industry-Education Integration and Science-Education Integration in Catering Majors Based on the Concept of 'Enterprises Set the Questions, Schools and Enterprises Co-Answer, and the Market Grades'.

Focused on the macro background and urgent needs of current catering vocational education reform, he emphasized the importance of deepening industry-education integration to solve the two separate entities problem between talent cultivation and catering industry needs.

He proposed building a closed-loop system starting from real market needs, centered on school-enterprise collaborative education, and using ultimate market value as the testing standard. This system would effectively promote joint problem-solving and talent cultivation between hospitality and tourism colleges and enterprises, ultimately creating a new mutually beneficial industry-education integration model with complementary advantages.

Diao stated that the school would focus on catering industry needs, carry out project-based learning around real industry topics, and integrate interdisciplinary support, industry-science-education-innovation integration, and post-course-project-competition integration. The goal is to cultivate future innovative high-skill talents with systematic thinking, cross-boundary integration capabilities, and comprehensive application abilities.

The forum theme was Future Education · Presidents Lead the Way — A New Journey for High-Quality Hospitality Vocational Education. More than 200 representatives from over 160 institutions nationwide participated in the event.

Experts discussed hot topics such as promoting education reform in hospitality vocational colleges under the new situation, advancing high-quality development of hospitality vocational education, and cultivating high-quality talents for the hospitality industry.

After discussion, the organizing committee decided that the college would host the 2026 National Forum of Hospitality and Tourism College Presidents. Diao Hongbin accepted the forum flag on behalf of the college.
