The Qingdao stop activities of the Higher Education and Vocational Education Management Training Course for Maldives were successfully held from September 14th to 16th.
The activities are sponsored by the Ministry of Commerce, undertaken by the Academy of International Business Officials of the Ministry of Commerce and assisted by the college.
As the implementing unit for the Qingdao stop activities, the college scientifically arranged the activity itinerary around the three themes of a maritime power, digital China, and rural revitalization, presenting the Qingdao model of China's vocational education from multiple dimensions and winning unanimous praise.
A thematic symposium anchored the vision for cooperation
The college held a special symposium for the training course. Han Xiqing, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, delivered a welcome speech, introducing in detail our history of running the school, achievements in international exchanges, professional characteristics and the effectiveness of talent cultivation. He expressed the hope that, taking this visit as an opportunity, the two sides could further expand the areas of cooperation and jointly promote in-depth cooperation in aspects such as talent cultivation and scientific research.
Ms. Shakiba Ali, Director General of the National Skills Development Authority of the Ministry of Higher Education, Labour and Skills Development of the Maldives, thanked our college for its warm reception, highly praised the remarkable achievements made by our school in the field of vocational and technical education, and expressed her willingness to carry out in-depth cooperation in aspects such as teacher training and professional cooperation in the future.
Subsequently, more than a dozen visiting colleges had in-depth exchanges with relevant schools of the college and initially reached cooperation intentions, laying a foundation for the subsequent work of vocational education going global.
Three teaching and training workshops demonstrated the professional skills of teachers and students
In the college's Intelligent Internet of Things and Information Security Training Workshop, people observed advanced equipment such as robots, intelligent tracking cars and smart home training boxes as well as the on-site project teaching, and fully understood the cutting-edge training conditions and talent cultivation models of information technology majors.
At the school's Cainiao Post Station, people inspected the internship and training platform built based on the school-enterprise cooperation and industry-education integration model, observed on-site the real project teaching of e-commerce live streaming, and learned in detail about the specific practices and achievements of the Modern Logistics Management major in aspects such as the real project process, curriculum design and support for students' innovation and entrepreneurship.
In the college's Chinese and Western cuisine cooking operation rooms and pastry workshops, people had an immersive experience of the teaching environment and practical atmosphere of cooking majors and tasted traditional Chinese mooncakes.
Everyone unanimously praised the deeply integrated industry-education model of our college as well as the education concept that attaches equal importance to inheritance and innovation.
Three boutique routes connected the resources of the government, schools, industries and enterprises
The college coordinated professional resources and advantages, carefully designed immersive inspection routes with the four-dimensional linkage of government, schools, industries and enterprises, and arranged professional teachers to provide on-site explanations and guidance.
Around the theme of a maritime power, people visited Qingdao Mingyue Seaweed Group Co., Ltd. and fully understood China's exploration path in developing and utilizing marine resources such as seaweed in the Seaweed Biotechnology Science and Technology Museum. They also passed through the cross-sea bridge and undersea tunnel and intuitively experienced the grandeur and technological strength of marine infrastructure construction.
Around the theme of digital China, people visited the college's Hismile Digital Hotel and Intelligent Internet of Things Training Room and inspected the Hexagon Smart Industrial Park, gaining an in-depth understanding of the construction scenarios of smart cities in China.
Around the theme of rural revitalization, people visited the college's Bobokezi Museum, deeply understood the professional development history of pasta moulds. At the Laoshan Dough Sculpture Experience Center, they participated in making Wanggezhuang Big Mantou. They also conducted on-site inspections of Laoshan's characteristic folk customs and learned about the experience of vocational education in inheriting traditional culture and local governments in creating the coupled development of regional culture and characteristic tourism to empower rural revitalization.
Through various forms such as thematic exchanges, on-site inspections and on-site teaching observations, we demonstrated the achievements made by China in aspects such as maritime development, smart city construction and rural revitalization, and fully manifested the effectiveness of our college's education and teaching and talent cultivation.
Taking this as an opportunity, the college will continue to adhere to open cooperation, continuously deepen the process of internationalized school running, play its role in vocational education in assisting foreign training and serving major-country diplomacy, and build a new pattern of international exchanges and cooperation for the college.
