Members of the college leadership team attended the meeting, and 15 teacher representatives from 13 units and departments participated in the symposium to celebrate the 41st Teachers' Day on September 9th.
First of all, Diao Hongbin, on behalf of the college Party Committee, extended holiday greetings and blessings to all faculty and staff of the college, and expressed high respect and sincere gratitude to all faculty and staff for their hard work and contributions to the development of the college.
Diao Hongbin hoped that teachers would carry forward and practice the spirit of educators, unswervingly implement the fundamental task of fostering virtue through education, and earnestly serve as guides for students' healthy growth.
Diao Hongbin pointed out that looking back on the 80-year school-running history, the reform and development of the college have embodied the wisdom and sweat of generations of teachers who dare to be pioneers, work hard and cooperate in unity.
In the new journey of the college's development, we must adhere to forging souls and strengthening teachers with the spirit of educators, and gather the strength to forge ahead. He put forward four requirements and hopes for the faculty and staff: First, firm ideals and beliefs, be firm practitioners of fostering virtue through education, and consciously arm their minds, guide practice and promote work with the Party's innovative theories; Second, cultivate noble teacher ethics, achieve the unity of teachers of knowledge and teachers of virtue, and be good four guides for students' healthy growth; Third, devote themselves to teaching and academic research, be practitioners of educational reform, and improve the pertinence and effectiveness of education and teaching work; Fourth, cultivate dedication and responsibility, be leaders in serving development, and take the lead in the development of the college.
With the theme of Forging Souls and Strengthening Teachers with the Spirit of Educators, and Writing a Magnificent Chapter in Building a Powerful Education Country, this symposium conducted in-depth exchanges on the future development of the college and the personal growth of teachers.
At the symposium, teacher representatives, combining their own growth experience and work practice, shared their true experiences and deep feelings in the process of teaching and educating people, and actively put forward suggestions on the construction of the faculty, promotion of integration of production and education, and service for students' development.
