The 2nd National Lamian Noodle Skills Competition, guided by the All-China Federation of Trade Unions and the People's Government of Qinghai Province, and hosted by the China Finance, Trade, Light Industry, Textile and Tobacco Workers' Union and the China Cuisine Association, was held in Hualong, Qinghai from July 17th to 19th. Three teachers from the School of Culinary Arts of our school won 1 bronze award and 2 excellence awards.
A total of 320 contestants from 86 teams across 31 provinces (autonomous regions and municipalities) participated in the competition. The competition included 4 events: basic skills of hand-pulled Lamian noodles, soup seasoning for Lamian noodles, finished Lamian noodles, and innovative Lamian noodles. It comprehensively assessed the contestants' production techniques, nutritional matching, flavor integration, and plating decoration abilities. The referee team made on-site comprehensive evaluations, and finally selected 1 gold award, 2 silver awards, and 3 bronze awards for each competition event.
Wang Shanshan won the bronze award in the innovative Lamian noodles event, and Yao Jinxia and Jiang Liping won the excellence awards.
The achievements in this competition fully demonstrated the excellent demeanor and professional skills of the teachers, and further enhanced the professional recognition and industry influence of the college's catering-related teaching staff.
