The Reading Month series activities with the theme “Deepening Reading for All, Book Fragrance Reaches the Campus” were successfully concluded recently. The reading month activities lasted for more than two months, and created a positive campus reading atmosphere through multi-themed and multi-form reading promotion activities.
Immersive inheritance of excellent traditional culture
In the opening ceremony of the Reading Month - “Spring Bazaar”, readers were immersed in a wealth of traditional cultural experience activities. Lacquer fan making, incense bag making, pot throwing, oracle bone writing and other programs led readers to perceive the charm of traditional culture in a close distance and injected new impetus into the inheritance and innovation of traditional culture; in addition, the inlaid craft experience salon inspired them to protect the intangible cultural heritage awareness.
Intelligent Promotion of Organic Integration of Learning and Creativity
During the reading month, Mr. Zhang Wenchang of the Education Information Center gave a lecture on “AI is Not Mysterious: Zero-Basic Playing with Artificial Intelligence”, communicating with readers from multiple dimensions of AI, highlighting the big model tools and application cases of big model technology in different scenarios, and stimulating readers' interest in AI technology and their learning expectations.
Three-dimensional construction of diversified reading ecology
The library's brand readers' activity “Treasure Hunting in the Mountain of Books” is carried out in teams, attracting readers from all schools to actively participate in it. By searching for designated literature resources, readers not only improved their information retrieval ability, but also deepened their understanding of the distribution of library collections. In the on-campus audition of 2025 Qilu Culture Scenario Reading Creativity Competition, the contestants gave new vitality to the classics through the use of music, costumes and props in the form of situational dramas and situational recitations. In addition, the Information Literacy Challenge of Shandong Universities, the English Dubbing Competition, and the 21-Day Reading Challenge synchronize online and offline efforts to build a diversified reading ecosystem.
The library will continue to use colorful reading promotion activities as a carrier, and is committed to improving the humanistic literacy of teachers and students, cultivating the readers' lifelong learning ability, and helping the construction of a book-scented campus to move forward.
