In order to deepen the education and teaching reform and keep up with the development trend of the digital age, the School of Information Engineering and Technology actively promotes the upgrading and reform of the basic information technology course to the general course of artificial intelligence.

Benchmarking and exchanges to clarify the idea of curriculum construction

Ms. Wang Lina and Ms. Yu Mengzhu participated in the teaching seminar of general education course on computing and artificial intelligence in national universities, listened to the report of experts, and obtained ideas of course construction and teaching reform.

The course team went to the Artificial Intelligence School of Shenzhen University of Vocational Technology for exchange and study, and had in-depth discussion and learning experience in classification construction, content system, teaching mode, etc., which provided reference for the course innovation and development planning.

Classification and teaching to cultivate AI composite talents

Innovative reform initiatives to implement classified teaching of AI general education courses according to major categories of specialties. The course content focuses on different professional categories and accurately matches professional needs.

A professional team was formed to actively dock with other schools to gain a deeper understanding of the demand for AI in professional development, optimize the curriculum with the demand for professional practice, and promote the in-depth integration of the curriculum with the profession.

Co-research on teaching and learning and renewal of AI teaching concepts

The Artificial Intelligence Liberal Studies Course Team carried out collective lesson preparation activities, in which teachers of different specialty directions discussed new developments in the field of AI, teaching difficulties and case studies. This preparation activity effectively enhances the teamwork of teachers, vigorously promotes the iterative updating of teaching concepts, and effectively improves the teaching level of the course.

The School of Information Engineering Technology will continue to optimize the curriculum system to provide students with richer AI application scenarios and help them grow into composite talents with professional literacy and innovation ability.
