The Hotel Reception event (World Skills Selection) of the 2nd Shandong Vocational Skills Competition was held at our school on April 18th and 19th.And competitors from 14 vocational and technical colleges participated in the event.
This competition is benchmarked against the standards of the Hotel Reception event in the 47th World Skills Competition.It is a highly professional event in the hotel reception field,known for its high operational difficulty and high industry recognition.
The event focuses on the job requirements of the industry and comprehensively examines the competitors'abilities in Front Desk reception, back-office writing,professional task speed,and the integrated application of front and back offices.It enhances the students'career competitiveness in their job positions.
According to the competition rules,competitors are required to use English throughout the entire process,proficiently apply the Property Management System(PMS),and deal with multitasking scenarios in the Front Office of an international hotel to efficiently complete guest reception tasks.
Ultimately,outstanding competitors will be selected based on their performance in the event to represent Shandong Province in the Hotel Reception(World Skills Selection)event of the 3rd National Vocational Skills Competition.
The hosting of this competition fully demonstrates the college's pragmatic and efficient event organization capabilities and strengthens our leading role in the hotel management major within the province.
We will continue to leverage its pioneering advantages in this competition,better integrate the standards of the World Skills Competition into professional teaching,and promote the scientific cultivation of high-quality technical and skilled talents.
