The Cooking(Western Cuisine)event of the 2nd Shandong Vocational Skills Competition was held at the college on April 18th and competitors from 13 vocational and technical colleges across the province participated in the event.
This competition is benchmarked against national and world-class competition systems,with a focus on the needs of new productive forces.It aims to leverage the leading role of the competition to enhance the professional skills of the participants and strengthen their career competitiveness.
The event comprehensively examines the competitors'skills in Western cuisine,innovative design capabilities,cooking abilities,and kitchen management skills.
Competitors are required to follow the competition rules and use the designated ingredients to meticulously design and produce three dishes from the perspectives of menu planning,color matching,taste and texture,cooking techniques,and plate presentation.
The judging panel will score based on criteria such as taste and texture,appearance and color,craftsmanship and quality,creativity and practicality,nutrition and hygiene.
Ultimately,outstanding competitors who meet the criteria will be recommended to represent Shandong Province in the Cooking(Western Cuisine)event of the 3rd National Vocational Skills Competition.
The hosting of this competition fully demonstrates the college’s well-organized event management capabilities.It has created a platform for skillful artisans to exchange and compete,further enhancing the school's influence in the industry.
