President Jiang Yupeng participates in annual working meeting of the National Steering Committee for Catering Vocational Education and Teaching

The annual working meeting of the National Steering Committee for Catering Vocational Education and Teaching was held in Hangzhou, Zhejiang Province from April 11th to 14th.

President Jiang Yupeng, the director of the Special Committee for Teacher Development of the National Steering Committee for Catering Vocational Education and Teaching and the principal of the school, attended the meeting.

On behalf of the Special Committee for Teacher Development, Jiang Yupeng reported on the work situation in 2024 and the work plan for 2025. He stated that the Special Committee for Teacher Development will play the role of a bridge and link, integrate and pool the strength of all parties, actively innovate the operation mode, focus on the development of catering vocational education teachers, carry out a series of special activities, aim at the demand orientation of industrial development, grasp the direction of talent cultivation, actively cultivate the new productive forces in the catering industry, and contribute to the high-quality promotion of teacher development work and the improvement of teachers' teaching ability.

This meeting was sponsored by the National Steering Committee for Catering Vocational Education and Teaching and the China Cuisine Association, and undertaken by the Catering Education Committee of the China Cuisine Association.

More than 200 representatives, including members of the two committees from all over the country, relevant experts and scholars, excellent catering enterprises and vocational colleges, participated in the meeting.

During the meeting, each special committee had in-depth exchanges on teaching research, school-enterprise cooperation, teacher development, specialty construction and other aspects.

At the same time, the Eighth National Forum on Catering Vocational Education was held. The participating experts and scholars expressed their opinions on topics such as Vocational Education Reform and Collaborative Talent Cultivation and Digital Transformation and Teaching Revolution, and shared cutting-edge viewpoints and practical cases in fields such as the integration of industry and education in the catering talent cultivation system driven by the Double Carbon strategy, the integrated talent cultivation mode for secondary, higher vocational and undergraduate levels in the culinary major, and the innovation of catering vocational education and teaching with the service of large model technology.

The college will further deepen the construction of the catering major cluster, deepen the integration of industry and education as well as the integration of science and education, continuously improve the teaching staff level of catering vocational education, and effectively promote the high-quality development of the catering industry through talent cultivation services.
