The College is approved as Shandong Experiential Learning Center for Chinese and Foreign Youth

The Shandong Education Association for International Exchange announced the 2024 list of approved projects recently, and the college's application for the Traditional Chinese Dietary Culture Experiential Learning Center has been officially approved as a Shandong Experiential Learning Center for Chinese and Foreign Youth.

To build a resource library for China's national conditions education curriculum system, play a leading and exemplary role, and form a synergy of high-quality educational resources, the Shandong Provincial Department of Education and the Shandong Education Association for International Exchange have solicited outstanding courses on China's national conditions education and social practice bases for international students from universities within the province. This initiative aims to promote the high-quality development of education on China's national context for international students in Shandong Province.

After applications from various universities and expert reviews, 15 courses were selected as outstanding courses for education on China's national context for international students in Shandong universities for 2024, and 16 bases were recognized as Experiential Learning Centers for Chinese and foreign youth in Shandong universities for 2024.

In recent years, the school has relied on the Lu Cuisine Culture Research Center and the Overseas Chinese Culinary Institute to explore and construct a Chinese Plus Vocational Skills talent training model for international students. The school has developed internationalized skill talent training programs and curriculum standard systems, assembled a faculty with excellent professional skills, and actively organized teachers and students from universities in the United States, South Korea, Malaysia, Indonesia, Kiribati, and other countries to come to the school for immersive learning experiences in traditional Chinese dietary culture. This has benefited over 400 overseas students.

The college will take this opportunity to continue leveraging its advantages in culinary education, actively carry out diverse and rich dietary culture experience activities, continuously explore and promote Shandong dietary culture, and effectively enhance the college's international reputation and influence.
