The Launching Ceremony of Italian Culinary Program

The Italian Trade Agency(ITA), Beijing and the college jointly held a ceremony to launch the Italian Culinary Project on 17th October.

President Jiang Yupeng welcomed the guests and introduced the college's characteristics, talent cultivation and international education. He said that the Italian culinary project is conducive to promoting in-depth exchanges in culinary culture and education between the two sides, broadening the international vision of teachers and students, improving culinary production skills, and enriching the catering experience; he hoped that this activity would be an opportunity to further deepen the cooperation, and to strengthen mutual learning between young students of the two sides in the field of food culture.

Gaili,deputy representative of Beijing Office of ITA, introduced the details of the project and hoped that the cooperation would help teachers and students of the college to understand Italian food culture, learn to make Italian food, and cultivate technical and skilled talents in culinary profession with international vision.

During the event, top Italian chefs will explain to our students the diversity of Italian food culture, the qualities of GI-protected ingredients and the principles and processes of Italian cooking, and guide them in the practice of cooking. Students who pass the assessment will receive a certificate of completion issued by the ITA.

The college will expand and extend the field of cooperation, actively promote the process of international schooling, open up the path of international skills training, and explore the cultivation of more high-quality technical and skilled talents in the catering industry with an international perspective.

About Italian Culinary Project

The Project, initiated by the Italian Foreign Trade Commission, has carried out cultural exchanges and skills training co-operation in catering with 31 colleges and universities in China. The project consists of three sections: Italian Culinary Education Video (Master Course), Italian Culinary Education Workshop and Italian Culinary Education Special Training Camp.
