The 7th China-US Rising Stars Study Tour starts in the college

The 7th China-US Rising Stars Study Tour of Qingdao startin the college on October 16, and its organized by China Education Association for International Exchange and hosted by the college, Nanjing Vocational University of Industry Technology and Zhejiang College of Construction, opened in our college.

President Jiang Yupeng welcomed the 25 teachers and students from vocational colleges and universities in China and the United States, and introduced the basic situation of the college and the preparations for this activity.

The Qingdao event was organized by the School of Hotel Engineering. The course was based on immersive and experiential classroom, interspersing architectural workshops and Chinese culture courses in the course of the study tour, and designing Chinese language learning in the daily itinerary, with the teachers of architectural majors and Honggong Yijiang Volunteer Association providing volunteer services throughout the whole course.

During the study period, we carried out some interesting cultural experience activities such as Qingdao Dialect Icebreaker, Charming Qingdao and Digital City Planning, Drone Operation Experience, Luban Lock Handmade, Bobo Kezi and Shandong Pastry, Chinese Clothing and Chinese Traditional Tea Ceremony. Lectures on Chinese architectural culture such as Qingdao Architecture Expo and City Development were conducted, and It provides a good platform for students from both sides to practice together, learn from each other and improve their understanding, helps students to understand Chinese architecture and culture more comprehensively, improves their professional skills in architecture, and makes international friends with similar interests.

With the theme of The Beauty of Architecture: History and Future, Ecology and Development, the study tour will be held in Nanjing, Qingdao and Hangzhou respectively, and the activities will include lectures, skills learning, youth dialogues, student presentations and cultural experiences, etc., which will show the charm of Chinese vocational education characteristics to the participating teachers and students.

The study tour aims to promote exchanges and dialogues between teachers and students of vocational institutions in China and the U.S., to promote cross-cultural communication and identification between Chinese and American youth, to allow teachers and students of both sides to improve relevant vocational skills in interactive experiences, and to deepen exchanges and cooperation in the field of vocational education in both countries.
