The "Restaurant Service" Event of the 2021 Shandong Vocational College Skills Competition

The Restaurant Service Event of the 2021 Shandong Vocational College Skills Competition was held in the college from November 14 to 16, with 31 teams participating.

This event is a team competition and each team is composed of two players. The competition is divided into two parts: Chinese food service and Western food service. Among them, Chinese food service includes theme banquet design and banquet service, and Western food service has cocktail preparation and service and leisure restaurant service.

The competition covers the core skills and professional quality of hotel management teaching, emphasizes the standardization, process and professionalism of operation, and assesses the comprehensive adaptability in the real restaurant service environment.

Compared with previous years, the theme banquet design module of Chinese food has a more creative design sense and is closer to the theme of the times; the contestants of leisure restaurant service of Western food are required to speak English throughout the whole process, showing the players' more comprehensive quality. In addition, in order to ensure the fairness and accuracy, a customized lottery and scoring system is adopted in this competition.

Relying on the Ministry of Education and Shandong province to jointly build the highland of national vocational education innovation and development, this competition is a beneficial practice to test teaching achievements, reflect the concept of world competition, and explore and form the competition pattern of integration of competition, teaching and training.
