The "Restaurant Service" Event of 2021 National Vocational Students Skills Competition starts in the College

The Restaurant Service Event of 2021 National Vocational Students Skills Competition, sponsored by 36 ministries and commissions including the Ministry of Education, opened in the college on the afternoon of June 20. Team leaders, competitors and instructors from 32 participating colleges participated in the opening ceremony.

The Restaurant Service Event is a team competition, which consists of two parts: Chinese food service and Western food service, with a total of four modules. Chinese food service is divided into two modules: theme banquet design and banquet service; Western food service concludes cocktail preparation and leisure restaurant service. The competition covers the core skills and professional quality of hotel management teaching, and emphasizes the standardization, process and professionalism of operation. It aims to promote the education and teaching reform of integration of competition, teaching and training of tourism major in higher vocational colleges, and promote the cultivation of high-quality, technical and comprehensive tourism major talents. In the two-day competition, the contestants will be in line with the purpose of benchmarking against international standards, displaying Chinese characteristics, being close to Chinese characteristics, and reflecting the working process, and compete around the overall comprehensive ability and adaptability of the restaurant service.
