As the opening activity of the 12th Yunlvtong Cup National Tourism College Service Skills Competition (Tour Guide Service),the academic forum on Theory and Practice of Experiential Education was held on the morning of May 15. More than 300 experts, scholars and backbone teachers from major tourism colleges and enterprises all over the country shared successful experiences and discussed experiential education theory, personnel training and professional construction.
Liu Lili, Secretary General of tourism education branch of China Tourism Association, delivered a speech. She pointed out that experiential education is an innovative form of connecting school education and out of school education, and an effective way of comprehensive practice education. All colleges and educational institutions should cooperate closely, focus on the actual needs of the development of experiential education in China and the theoretical innovation, carry out in-depth research, establish and improve the theoretical system of experiential education in China.
In his speech, President Jiang Yupeng hoped to take this academic forum as an opportunity to strengthen the ideological collision and experience exchange in the aspects of experiential education theory, personnel training and curriculum design, so as to jointly promote the development of experiential education theory and practice.
In the keynote speech, Professor Liu Jun, Dean of School of Tourism Management, South China Normal University and director of Research Center for Tourism and Leisure Education, made an academic report on innovation of experiential education and tourism education.
Wang Jinwei, associate professor and master tutor of Tourism Science College of Beijing International Studies University, director of Tourism Policy Research Center, made the keynote report on high quality development of experiential education: strategy and path.
Professor Liu Yinghua shared his experience in the construction of experiential education major.
In the Academic Salon, five experts from Jiangsu Vocational Institute of Commerce, Tianjin University of Commerce, Guilin Tourism University, Hainan College of Economics and Business, and Qingdao Tourism School shared typical cases.
In order to give full play to the guiding role of academic experts in the scientific research and professional construction of our college, Professor Liu Jun and Associate Professor Wang Jinwei are employed as the academic consultants of our college. Jiang Yupeng presented the appointment letters of academic consultants to the two professors on the spot.
