The opening ceremony of Culinary Training Building and training course

We held the opening ceremony of Culinary Training Building and training course on June 17. Leaders of the college, teachers and students of Culinary Dept. attended the ceremony.

Wang Zhixing, vice president of Culinary Dept., introduced the functional layout of the training building and the resumption of classes. He said that he would take the construction of the Double-Quality Plan as an opportunity to be realistic and pragmatic, take on the responsibility and move forward, and create the banner of culinary vocational education. At the ceremony, the participants watched the promotional video of Culinary Training Building, and the students sang the etiquette song of culinary arts.

About Culinary Training Building

The construction of Culinary Training Building is the content of the 13th five-year plan of the college. It is a major decision-making deployment to promote the development of culinary specialty based on the current situation of the college's training conditions. Through the cooperation of relevant departments and contractors, a comprehensive culinary training center has been built, which integrates talent training, skill appraisal, social service, skill competition, international exchange and famous teacher project.

About Culinary Specialty

Culinary Specialty is the leading specialty of our college. It was founded in 1958 and it is one of the first five colleges to carry out culinary education in China. A large number of national landmark achievements have been made in the construction of the major. We have been ranked as the first place in the specialty evaluation of vocational education in Shandong province for six consecutive years and have won seven gold medals in the national vocational skill competition. In order to realize the development of Culinary Specialty and maintain the dominant position in China, it is necessary to further increase the investment in the construction of Culinary Specialty and continuously improve the training and teaching conditions. In 2016, the college launched the construction project of Culinary Training Building, which was officially started on August 20, 2018, and completed the completion acceptance, equipment installation and put into use by the end of 2019. The construction area of Culinary Training Building is 9,600 square meters. It has various advanced training rooms such as Chinese food, Western food, pasta, etc., as well as raw material warehouse and multimedia classroom, which will greatly promote the high-quality development of culinary specialty.
