The 25th IKA/Culinary Olympics was held in Stuttgart, Germany from February 14 to19 and China's national culinary team achieved great results. Yu Guangchuan and Han Hao from Dept. of Culinary Arts won a silver medal and a bronze medal in the group competition, and won a silver medal in the individual competition project Culinary art respectively.
China's national culinary team was established in the college in June 2019, with Liu Lixin as the general coach and Jiang Yuntao as one of the coaches, and Yu Guangchuan, Han Hao and other young chefs from seven other vocational colleges and hotels as members. The team took part in the 20th FHC China International Culinary Arts Competition held in Shanghai and won the gold medal. After that, they went to Shanghai, Zhejiang, Yunnan, Shandong, Guangxi and other places for performance training and received extensive attention.
The 25th IKA/Culinary Olympics has two events: buffet and hot kitchen, attracting professional chef teams from more than 70 countries and regions to participate in it. It is the world's top culinary competition with the largest number of countries and players since 1901.
