The 4thTalent Training Exchange Meeting of Tourism Management was held at the multi-functional hall of the training center on December 19. Qingdao University is the upgrading university for the students majoring in Tourism Management and some professors from the School of Tourism and Geographical Sciences of Qingdao University attended the meeting.
Vice president Diao Hongbin said that in the next five years, students should make full use of the dual educational environment of vocational education and undergraduate education, reasonably arrange theoretical knowledge learning and practical training, so that they can comprehensively improve their abilities.
Professor Xiao Jianhong, Dean of School of Tourism and Geographical Sciences of Qingdao University, said that the students should work hard on their study to improve their ability. And at the same time, they should recognize the difference and connection between the professional education in the vocational education period and the discipline education in the undergraduate period.
Professor Xiao Jianhong and Leng Xueyan, director of Enrollment and Employment Office, inaugurated theupgrade classfrom junior college to university. The teachers wore special name badges for all the students who performed roleplays, recitations, songs and held the class oath ceremony.
Professors from Qingdao University delivered a series of lectures including Introduction to tourism management major of Qingdao University by Zhao Yuzong, About the nature of tourism by Geng Qinghui and Theory connects with practice by Xiao Jianhong. The lectures cover what tourism management is, the nature of tourism exploration and how to combine theory with practice to study tourism. With friendly interaction, the teachers also answered students a variety of puzzles and questions in their college life, which has been highly appreciated by students.
