On April 9, the first batch of experts on construction projects of high-quality vocational colleges from Shandong Education Department came to our college to investigate the mid-term construction of high-quality schools.
Diao Hongbin reported to the expert group about the mid-term situation of the college's high-quality school construction project from five aspects: the basic situation of the project, the accomplishment of the mid-term objectives and tasks of the project construction, the allocation and use of the project construction funds, the specific construction situation and effectiveness of the project, the main problems existing in the project and the improvement measures.
After the meeting, the group visited the training centers of the Department of Tourism and Hotel Management, Culinary Arts, Business Administration and Hotel Engineering. They held both teachers’ and students’symposium, consulted the relevant information and learned the concrete implementation in the college from various aspect.
At the expert feedback meeting, Wang Xin, on behalf of the expert group, fully affirmed the effectiveness of the construction of high-quality colleges. The Expert Group believes that our college attaches great importance to the construction of high-quality schools and integrates all construction tasks. It has achieved remarkable results in such aspects as the mechanism of school-enterprise cooperative education system, the construction of first-class professional groups, the mode and mechanism of teacher training, the accumulation of scientific research and technical services, the construction and application of information technology, international exchanges and cooperation, and the characteristic campus culture, etc.,which has achieved mid-term work in the construction of high-quality schools. Goal. At the same time, the expert group pointed out the shortcomings in the construction of high-quality schools and put forward pertinent suggestions.
Li Da made a statement on behalf of the college and he said that we would seriously study the opinions and suggestions of the expert group, grasp the implementation, earnestly implement, and comprehensively promote the construction of high-quality colleges to a new level. On the basis of the construction of high-quality schools, our college will make great and further efforts, constantly innovate its working ideas, upgrade its school-running ideas, improve its system and mechanism, concentrate on the connotation development, and build high-quality colleges, so as to make new and greater contributions to the economic and social development of the province.
About construction of high-quality vocational colleges
In 2017, we officially established itself as the first batch of construction units of high-quality vocational colleges in Shandong Province. It defined the goal of building a first-class, internationally renowned brand of general-purpose vocational education in Hotel industry and identified 15 construction projects, such as institutional mechanism innovation and first-class professional construction. The College incorporates the construction of high-quality schools into the development plan of the 13th Five-Year Plan, focusing on four key construction projects: standard system construction, faculty construction, information technology construction and international school-running; establishes a top-ranking project for the construction of high-quality schools, specially establishes a high-quality school-building office to implement the project responsibility system; and adopts a first-class professional group, a high-level faculty and technical skills.
Accumulation and social service are the key points, with innovation of system and mechanism, construction and application of information technology, international cooperation and exchange, and construction of characteristic culture as the impetus, with quality management and guarantee system as the guarantee, to continuously deepen the teaching reform, to further promote the integration of industry and education, to effectively enhance service capacity, to continuously improve the level of running schools, and to accurately train technical and skilled personnel meeting the needs of industry.
Through the promotion of key work mechanism, dynamic management of construction projects, multi-platform and multi-channel publicity and promotion, the overall progress of the construction of high-quality colleges is good, which strongly promotes the development of high-quality colleges.
