Recently, IHG Strategic Academy Signing Ceremony with QVTCHM was held in Haier Intercontinental Hotel, Qingdao. Ms. Xi Ying, Human Resources Director of Northern Greater China Region of InterContinental Hotels Group, and Diao Hongbin, Vice President of our college attended the ceremony and signed the Intercontinental Strategic Talent College Agreement.
In her speech, Xi Ying said that InterContinental Hotels Group is very honored to join hands with QVTCHM to set up IHG Strategic Academy again. She hopes that we will uphold the advantages and provide more professionals for the hotel industry. By the end of 2018, InterContinental Hotels Group has established more than 60 talent training schools in more than 30 cities in China.
Diao Hongbin said that since the establishment of the Intercontinental School in 2013, we have achieved fruitful results in student internship, employment and career development. In 2018,we became one of the eight strategic cooperative colleges of the Intercontinental Hotel Group in China. InterContinental Hotels Group provides customized courses and information for us, and provides all-round support and assistance in teacher training, student internships overseas, and intercontinental scholarships. We look forward to making greater contributions to the global hotel industry through strategic cooperation between the two sides.
This event marks a new chapter in the cooperation between the College and the Intercontinental Group. It provides a solid platform for us to train hotel management talents with market demand, high quality and strong skills, and promotes the further development of our hotel management teaching mode and modern apprenticeship system.
Li Gang, General Manager of Intercontinental Hotels Group of Henan and Shandong, and some senior managers of Qingdao Intercontinental Hotels Group attended the ceremony. Xu Li, Deputy Secretary, Shi Meishan, Vice President and all the teachers and students of the Intercontinental Talented Class participated in the activities.
