The national training program on Improving Digital Application Competence for Backbone Teachers of Higher Vocational Tourism Majors was held at our college from October 12 to 31. Twenty‑seven backbone teachers from higher vocational colleges across Chongqing completed the 20‑day training and obtained certificates.
Centered on digital capacity upgrading, the training consists of four curriculum modules following the philosophy of “cutting‑edge guidance, reform breakthrough, integrated practice and teacher ethics foundation”. It covers AI application, big data‑enabled education, virtual simulation for major development, digital cultural tourism livestreaming and online course construction. It also addresses training base development, new‑form textbooks, the integration of posts, courses, competitions and certificates, and competition preparation.
Adhering to the industry‑education principle of “Enterprises set questions, schools and enterprises collaborate on solutions, and the market evaluates outcomes”, the program arranges on‑site immersive learning at training bases and venues including the Naval Museum, Tsingtao Beer Museum, Hisense Discovery Center and Qingdao Polar Ocean Park. Renowned national experts deliver lectures to strengthen teacher ethics and curriculum ideology and politics. Participants agreed that the training clarified directions for the digital transformation of tourism majors.
Our college has undertaken this national training for two consecutive years. It builds a cross‑regional platform for teacher exchange and shares teaching reform achievements to boost the high‑quality development of higher vocational tourism education in Chongqing.
