On October 23, the college, together with Lushang Technology Group Co., Ltd., hosted the launch ceremony of China’s first vertical AI large model for study tours and a dialogue on AI-enabled high-skilled talent cultivation for study tours. A number of industry and academic experts attended the event.
Vice President Yu Honggang stressed that the vertical large model was developed to meet genuine teaching and industrial demands rather than follow trends. Tailored for teaching and training of the Study Tour Management and Service programme, the Yantu model centers on talent cultivation needs. It integrates four core functions: intelligent study tour curriculum design, intelligent policy inquiry and compliance review, smart teaching resource delivery and intelligent guidance during practical training, forming an all-in-one intelligent support system covering lesson preparation, curriculum delivery and training guidance.
During the event, the model was officially launched. The Tourism Digital Collaborative Innovation Center was unveiled, and 20 institutions including colleges and industry associations were awarded as the first batch of licensed users. The Cluster Cultivation Programme for high-skilled talents in quality tourism was kicked off simultaneously.
The model has been deployed in six classes with 202 students. Statistics show teachers’ lesson-preparation time is cut by 60% on average, and the pass rate of students’ training proposals rises from 68% to 91%. This initiative has been selected as a national typical case of AI application in vocational colleges.
