The Professional Teaching Standards Implementation and Promotion Exchange Activity was held in Beijing on October 22, guided by the Department of Vocational and Adult Education of the Ministry of Education and hosted by the Center for Vocational Education Development of the Ministry of Education.

Diao Hongbin, Party Secretary of the college, delivered a report titled From National Standards to Educational Practice — Promoting the Reform of High-Skilled Talent Cultivation in the Modern Service Industry through Standard Implementation, as one of the representatives from three universities invited to deliver keynote speeches. The report received unanimous praise from the leaders and guests present.

Drawing on the college's practice of leading and participating in the development of national professional teaching standards, Secretary Diao shared experience from three dimensions: institutional coordination, teaching transformation and teaching reform. He noted that implementing national standards requires accurately grasping the relationship between unified training requirements and each institution's independent curriculum design, and proactively responding to industrial transformation and technological progress, so as to translate the educational requirements of national standards into the whole process of serving students' growth and development.

The college has deployed standard implementation in tandem with program development and teaching reform, improving mechanisms for institutional safeguards, industry research, staff training and teaching supervision, and integrating vocational analysis with curriculum research to align job competency requirements with training specifications, course content, learning tasks and assessment arrangements.

On teaching reform, Secretary Diao elaborated on the industry-education integration philosophy of enterprises pose the questions, schools and enterprises answer together, and the market grades the outcomes, sharing practices of deepening post-awareness through real projects, solving complex problems through cross-disciplinary collaboration, and improving teaching through market feedback. Citing projects such as culinary baking product R&D and smart elevator data annotation, he introduced how the college translates new requirements of industrial development into new content of talent cultivation, and leverages school-enterprise collaborative workshops to drive innovation in talent cultivation models, exploring the development of innovative high-skilled talent with systematic thinking, cross-boundary integration and comprehensive application capabilities.

During the activity, Li Zhihong, a senior researcher and core expert of the National Professional Teaching Standards Development Comprehensive Group and former Deputy Director of the Ministry of Education Assessment Center, Xun Li, Associate Researcher of the Center for Vocational Education Development, as well as representatives from five provinces and four national industry teaching steering committees, delivered exchange speeches.
