Dr. Peng Zhenyun, Special Advisor to the Chairman of Thailand's Bhavana Bodhigun Vocational College(BBVC), paid an official visit to our college on October 15.

President Han Xiqing attended the talks, during which the two sides conducted in-depth consultations on cooperation matters including the joint establishment of an education center.

At the talks, President Han extended a warm welcome to Dr. Peng and introduced the college's history, distinctive features and international exchanges, while elaborating on the assignment of our faculty members to serve in Thailand. He proposed that the two colleges, guided by practical demand and tailored to the characteristics of Thailand's Koh Samui, prioritize cooperation in majors such as culinary arts, information technology and accounting, and pragmatically advance joint projects in areas including Chinese + Vocational Skills and collaborative curriculum development.

Dr. Peng noted that the two colleges had established friendly cooperative ties, with our college having twice dispatched teachers to serve in Thailand to promote its culinary program experience and standards, thereby enhancing the Thai college's educational quality and management level. He expressed expectations for deepened cooperation in faculty training and study tours, the joint development of bilingual teaching materials, and participation in international vocational skills competitions, with a view to jointly forging a replicable model of China-Thailand vocational education cooperation.

During the talks, the two sides also deliberated on the feasibility of establishing the Banmo Institute, pledging to uphold mutual benefit and mutual learning, deepen their cooperation model and institute a sound cooperation mechanism.

Following the talks, Dr. Peng toured the Yuemei Handcraft Aesthetic Education Center, the Intelligent IoT Training Center, the Hismile Digital Hotel and the Culinary Industry-Education Integration Production Practice Center, gaining an on-site understanding of our college's industry-education integration training facilities.

This exchange constitutes an important endeavor of the college in serving the educational opening-up under the Belt and Road Initiative. The college will coordinate project preparations and ensure their smooth implementation, so as to continuously elevate its internationalization and facilitate China-Thailand educational and cultural exchanges.
