Recently, all events of the final contest of the World Vocational College Skills Competition 2026 concluded. We won 4 gold medals and 5 silver medals, and all nine participating teams won awards. The number of gold medals, total medals and overall provincial assessment score rank first in Shandong province, marking the college’s best performance in this competition.
Upgraded from the National Vocational College Skills Competition, the World Vocational College Skills Competition is an international comprehensive vocational skill event initiated by the Ministry of Education and co-organized by multiple ministries. It serves as the top platform to evaluate teaching outcomes and talent training quality of vocational colleges.

The college made early preparations. Right after the provincial contest in 2025, relevant teams started training, with intensive on-campus training launched in August. Teachers and students overcame difficulties and polished their entries.
Following the industry-education integration philosophy of “enterprises setting the questions, schools and enterprises co-solving them, and the market grading the answers”, the nine works were based on real industrial projects and demands, adopting new technologies and new business forms. Teams made up for hardware shortages through independent refitting and technical substitution to boost digital and intelligent performance of their works.
College leaders offered on-site guidance. The Academic Affairs Office and all schools set up expert teams for refinement, while functional departments provided full support.
The college will stick to this philosophy, dynamically optimizing teaching content to match industrial demands. Taking skills contests as a starting point, it will turn competition achievements into teaching resources and build a multi-dimensional teaching material library. The college will implement the education logic of promoting teaching, learning and reform through competitions, improve the five-party collaborative education mechanism involving government, industry, enterprises, colleges and students, improve the training quality of high-skilled talents and support regional economic development.
