The final contest of the Business Track (Higher Vocational Group) of the 2026 World Vocational Colleges Skills Competition was held in Taiyuan, Shanxi Province from 26 to 30 September.

Four e-commerce students from our School of Business Administration — Li Zhe, Gao Tianshu, Liu Jiawen and Song Wenzeng — won the silver medal with solid professional skills, effective teamwork and steady on-site performance.

Following the industry–education integration philosophy of industry raising the question, university and enterprise answering together, and market grading the result, the team focused on precise domestic marketing and overseas market expansion for home textile enterprises. They integrated data analysis, content marketing, visual marketing and scenario marketing into the whole digital marketing process.

Digital technologies including RAG private knowledge base, Python data analysis, C4D 3D modelling, commercial photography, VR interaction and multimodal real-time capture were adopted to build a full workflow covering demand insight, content planning, digital marketing material production, business diagnosis, scenario experience and cross-border livestreaming. Rooted in real corporate operations, the project helps spread home textile products and traditional Chinese culture efficiently via digital tools.

Hosted by the Ministry of Education together with multiple authorities, the World Vocational Colleges Skills Competition is a non-profit international comprehensive event for vocational education. A total of 218 teams and nearly 870 contestants competed in this business track.

During preparation, Party Secretary Diao Hongbin and President Han Xiqing visited the training site repeatedly to guide project refinement. The Academic Affairs Office and the School of Business Administration jointly guaranteed venues, equipment and technical support. Teachers and students practiced real business cases continuously to polish plans, workflows and emergency response.

Taking this achievement as a new starting point, the School of Business Administration will deepen school-enterprise cooperation and industry-education integration based on industrial demands. It will introduce more real enterprise projects and advance integrated reforms of majors, courses, teaching materials, teachers and practical training, improving students’ ability to solve practical business problems and contributing to the digital transformation of modern commerce and high-quality regional economic growth.
