On September 17, the 2026 Qingdao Zhenchao Cup Skills Competition for Workers in New Forms of Employment, namely the Courier Event of the 18th Qingdao Vocational Skills Competition, was successfully hosted by our college.
In his speech at the ceremony, Diao Hongbin, Secretary of the Party Committee of our college, introduced the college’s development. He stated that as one of China’s first batch of postal industry talent training bases, the college has been engaged in logistics and express delivery education for more than ten years. It has hosted the first postal vocational skills competitions at municipal, provincial and national levels, and won the title of Outstanding Contribution Unit awarded by the State Post Bureau. He pointed out that the express and logistics industry is undergoing intelligent and digital transformation, and skilled talents underpin high-quality industrial development. Taking this competition as an opportunity, the college will deepen the integration of industry and education, keep pace with new technologies, new business forms and new industry standards, optimize talent training models, and fuel the transformation and upgrading of the regional express logistics sector.
A total of 95 couriers from 10 major delivery enterprises across Qingdao took part in the competition. Closely aligned with cutting-edge industrial skills, the contest included practical modules such as delivery route planning and multi-item acceptance and collection. Based on real work scenarios, it comprehensively assessed contestants’ professionalism and expertise. The competitors competed calmly and pursued excellence, demonstrating the fine demeanor of modern courier practitioners. The event achieved the goal of promoting learning, training and development through competition, encouraging couriers to polish skills and excel at their posts.
As the organizer, the college leveraged the strengths of its business and logistics specialty cluster and training resources. It completed event organization, venue arrangement, technical support and logistics services with high standards to ensure a safe, orderly and high-quality competition.
The college will continue to give play to vocational education advantages, further integrate industry and education and strengthen school-enterprise cooperation. It will build platforms for skills contests and joint talent cultivation, contributing to the development of workers in new forms of employment and high-skilled talent pool in Qingdao.
