On September 8, the college held the opening ceremony for the 2026 Chinese Cuisine training program students from Hyejeon College Korea.
President Han Xiqing extended a warm welcome to the faculty and students from South Korea. He gave an overview of the college’s education and international exchange work, and reviewed the 18-year partnership between the two institutions. He noted that both sides have achieved fruitful results through faculty and student exchanges as well as joint program development. He hoped the trainees would quickly adapt to campus life, improve their Chinese proficiency and Chinese culinary skills, gain insights into Chinese food culture, and become youth ambassadors for culinary cultural exchanges between China and South Korea.
Professor Lee Myung-cheol delivered a personal letter from President Lee Hye-suk of Hyejeon University Korea. The letter recalled the profound friendship built over years of cooperation, thanked our college for providing high-quality learning resources, and expressed expectations for further deepening cooperation in student exchanges, teacher development and specialty construction, while exploring innovative exchange models. During the ceremony, President Han Xiqing presented the college badges and practical training handbooks for Chinese cuisine to the six trainees.
It is reported that the six trainees will study at our college for one semester. They will systematically learn Chinese, Chinese cooking techniques and traditional Chinese food culture. Multiple departments of our college have worked together to tailor an integrated training program combining language, skills and culture. With orientation sessions, full-time guidance from experienced teachers and convergent management, the college will help the trainees settle in smoothly and gain rewarding achievements.
