On September 4, the college convened a collective talk for outstanding young doctor‑holder teachers undertaking in‑house exchange training to arrange relevant work. Diao Hongbin, Secretary of the College Party Committee, attended and delivered a speech. Han Xiqing, Deputy Party Secretary and President, chaired the meeting.

Diao Hongbin, Secretary of the College Party Committee,  pointed out that young teachers constitute a core driving force for the college’s development. The one‑year in‑house exchange programme assigning young doctor‑holder teachers to functional departments serves as a key initiative to strengthen young talent development and boost teachers’ competence. It aims to broaden their horizons, deepen their understanding of vocational education, and improve their overall quality through multi‑post practice. The programme helps them grow into compound‑talent teachers with solid professional expertise, broad strategic vision, and sound knowledge of teaching‑education delivery and college governance.

He put forward three requirements for participating teachers. First, raise awareness. Take the exchange training as an opportunity to gain deeper insights into the college’s educational philosophy and the rules governing vocational education. Second, value this opportunity. Proactively adapt to new roles, accumulate practical experience and enhance capabilities through hands‑on tasks. Third, strike a proper balance. Harmonise professional development with administrative practice, personal growth with institutional needs, observe disciplinary rules, and translate insights gained from training into tangible competence for teaching, research and student development.

Meanwhile, he urged host departments to assume full responsibility for talent cultivation. They should assign real responsibilities, pass on practical know‑how and create favourable conditions to ensure tangible outcomes of the exchange programme.

In his presiding remarks, President Han Xiqing stressed that building a strong young‑teacher workforce is vital for consolidating the college’s talent foundation and sustaining its development momentum. Relevant departments shall keep regular contact with participating teachers, offer guidance and mentorship. Participants are expected to abide by rules, integrate into new posts and upgrade their capabilities through practice.

The meeting announced post assignments for the exchange participants. Yu Jinliang, Director of the Academic Affairs Office, and Zhang Jingyao from the School of Information Engineering and Technology, spoke on behalf of host departments and participating teachers respectively.

This marks the college’s first‑ever in‑house exchange training programme for young doctor‑holder teachers, with six doctors selected for one‑year cross‑functional postings. As an innovative attempt to optimise young‑teacher training mechanisms and expand career‑development pathways, the college will continue to build platforms for professional growth. Multi‑post rotations will nurture high‑calibre educators and inject new impetus into the college’s high‑quality development.
