On July 7, the launch ceremony of the 2026 Summer Social Practice Focusing on the Three Rural Initiatives and Mass Entrepreneurship & Innovation Competition Incubation Projects was held in the Administration Building Conference Room, officially kicking off the college’s summer social practice and sci-tech innovation competition programs.
Diao Hongbin, Secretary of the College Party Committee, attended the event, awarded team flags to all social practice groups, and delivered a mobilization address.
He spoke highly of the college’s fruitful progress in social practice and innovation and entrepreneurship contests over recent years. Centering on youth development and the new-era demands for innovation and entrepreneurship, he set four requirements for participating students: uphold patriotism, integrate theoretical knowledge with real-world practice, deepen sci-tech research, and cultivate a strong sense of responsibility and perseverance.

Secretary Diao noted that grassroots communities function as immersive classrooms for practical, labor and setback education, and vital platforms for students to upgrade their abilities, spark creative ideas and refine competition entries. He urged students to devote themselves to grassroots practice with a pragmatic mindset, strive for breakthroughs in innovation, and gain rewarding achievements through volunteer services while advancing their own entrepreneurial and innovative growth.
Student and faculty representatives took the floor one after another during the ceremony. All participants then took a solemn oath, whose powerful words embodied college students’ determination to serve the grassroots, contribute to society and fulfill their youthful missions.

This year, the college has formed 27 school-level key practice teams involving over 300 students. They will travel to 20 cities across five provinces to carry out volunteer services and field surveys in more than 120 administrative villages. The teams have filed applications for 14 special practice projects covering Mandarin promotion, fostering a strong sense of community for the Chinese nation, inheriting Qilu culture and promoting the Yimeng Spirit, lifting the brand influence and quality of the college’s social practice initiatives.
The College Youth League Committee will strengthen practical education platforms, optimize the project incubation system, and advance standardized, branded and high-quality practical and labor education. It will keep guiding young students to settle at the grassroots, stay true to their ideals and shoulder the missions of the times.
