On June 29, Song Jie, Vice Director of Qingdao Municipal Bureau of Education, and his entourage visited the college to conduct a special inspection on our study tour programs as well as the development and application of the dedicated vertical large model for study tours.
Song Jie clarified the core purpose of the inspection and introduced that Qingdao is advancing the themed study tour initiative of Hundreds of Thousands of Students Exploring Qingdao and Entering Qingdao. Entrusted by relevant authorities, the faculty team of the college’s Study Tour Management and Service major has completed route planning for eight major themes of the initiative. In collaboration with Lushang Technology Group Co., Ltd., the team has developed China’s first vertical large model dedicated to study tours, empowering the high-quality development of Qingdao’s study tour industry with digital technology.
Song Jie stated that the Municipal Bureau of Education will continue to fully support the college’s relevant work and actively coordinate solutions to key difficulties in project advancement. He hoped that the college will leverage the development opportunities of Qingdao’s Science and Innovation Corridor, continuously upgrade and iterate the functions and application scenarios of the large model, and boost the high-quality development of the regional study tour industry.
President Han Xiqing expressed gratitude to the Municipal Bureau of Education for its long-term care and support, and briefed the visitors on the construction achievements of the Study Tour Management and Service major as well as the college’s practices in serving the development of the regional cultural and tourism industry.
Relying on its advantage of presiding over the formulation of national teaching standards for the Study Tour Management and Service major, the college has always prioritized serving Qingdao’s high-quality development. Under the guidance of the Municipal Bureau of Education, the college will further advance the iterative development of the study tour vertical large model to contribute more to the growth of Qingdao’s cultural, tourism and study tour industries.
Vice President Yu Honggang introduced the details of the college’s cooperation with Lushang Technology Group Co., Ltd. in developing the vertical large model, and exchanged views with the leaders of the Municipal Bureau of Education on problems encountered during the development process.
Shi Meishan, Dean of the School of Cultural and Tourism Management, reported on the architecture and functions of the study tour vertical large model and delivered an on-site system demonstration.
During the investigation, the research group visited the training rooms of the School of Arts, the Hismile Digital Hotel, the integrated production and practice center of the School of Culinary Arts and other practical training venues.
