The New Carbon Neutral Energy Control Technology and Application Event of the 2025-2026 Belt and Road & BRICS Skills Development and Technological Innovation Competition was successfully held from June 4 to 6.

Wu Yang and Kang Yin, teachers from the School of Hotel Engineering of the college, won the Second Prize in the teacher group, which fully demonstrates the college's teaching strength and achievements in faculty development in fields such as carbon neutral energy management and smart energy application.

Hosted by the Chinese Council of the BRICS Business Council, the Belt and Road & BRICS International Alliance for Skills Development and other organizations, the competition focuses on the low-carbon, intelligent and digital development trend of energy systems under the dual-carbon goals. Covering core modules including distributed energy management, system troubleshooting, electrical design, PLC programming, industrial configuration and energy strategy optimization, the event features strong comprehensiveness and practicality, setting extremely high requirements for participants' professional competence and comprehensive literacy.

During the preparation period, the college attached great importance to the competition and coordinated all kinds of resources actively. The two teachers took the initiative to connect with high-quality technical resources from enterprises and received special training there. They delved into and conducted repeated practical exercises on key contents including competition platform operation, program design, fault commissioning and strategy optimization, rapidly remedying technical deficiencies and improving teamwork capabilities, laying a solid foundation for the award.

This honor is a fruitful achievement of the college's commitment to the philosophy of promoting teaching, learning and reform through competitions, as well as the in-depth implementation of the integrated education model combining posts, courses, competitions and certificates.

Taking this competition as an opportunity, we will accurately align with the development needs of the green low-carbon and smart energy industries. It will continue to strengthen faculty development, optimize the practical teaching system, translate competition achievements into teaching resources and educational outcomes, and strive to cultivate high-quality technical and skilled talents adapted to the development of the new energy industry.
