Welcoming ceremony held for Azerbaijan CASA Culinary Culture Exchange Group

The college held a welcoming ceremony for the Azerbaijan CASA Culinary Culture Exchange Group on May 28.

President Han Xiqing attended the ceremony. In his address, he extended a warm welcome to the delegation and introduced the distinctive features of the college’s culinary majors as well as its international exchange and cooperation. He noted that the college actively responds to the Belt and Road Initiative and continuously broadens and deepens international exchanges. He expressed the hope that through this culinary culture experience program, the visiting students can learn Chinese cooking skills, gain insight into traditional Chinese food culture, take their wonderful experiences in Qingdao and China back to Azerbaijan, and act as envoys for cultural exchanges between China and Azerbaijan.

Li Ailing, General Manager of the Azerbaijan Center for Culinary Arts, stated that both sides are committed to cultivating international culinary professionals and promoting the exchange and dissemination of Chinese culinary skills and food culture in Azerbaijan. She hoped to take this opportunity to further cooperation in talent training, cultural communication and skill exchanges for mutual development.

The six-day cultural experience program will cover the making of traditional Chinese pastry, classic Shandong and Sichuan cuisines. The group will also visit top hotels in Qingdao, experience local urban culture, and hold a presentation and exchange of their learning outcomes.

This event plays a positive role in promoting high-quality teaching standards for culinary majors, enhancing the influence of traditional Chinese food culture, building an international brand for Chinese culinary vocational education, and elevating the school’s global reputation.
