On May 14th, the “Choose Shandong, Embrace Your Future” Qingdao General Job Fair, namely the 2026 Spring General and Culinary Employment Job Fair, was held at the stadium and in front of the training building of the School of Culinary Arts. More than 7,000 graduates of the classes of 2026 and 2027 actively participated in the event.
The general job fair gathered 440 influential high-quality enterprises including Qingdao Beverage Group, Hisense Group and Bank of Qingdao, offering over 13,000 vacancies for graduates.
Special zones covering hotel services, cultural tourism, property management, international trade, finance & taxation, information technology and media were set up on site, catering to employment demands of all majors and greatly boosting recruitment matching efficiency.
The special internship and employment fair for the School of Culinary Arts attracted 106 employers including branded hotel groups such as Marriott, Shangri-La, Hyatt and InterContinental, as well as well-known catering enterprises, providing a total of 3,148 premium positions.
Over 40 percent of participating enterprises offer core positions to our graduates. This indicates that our employment work has shifted from merely securing employment destinations to achieving high-quality employment, steadily advancing toward high-level development.

Jiang Lingling, Chairman of the Trade Union, led staff to visit enterprises and expand job opportunities on site. She inquired in detail about corporate recruitment demands and students’ employment status, collected enterprises’ opinions and suggestions on talent cultivation, and expressed gratitude to all sectors of society for their support for graduate employment work.
To optimize employment services, the college jointly set up the Qingdao Zhi Lifang consulting service zone with Qingdao Public Employment and Talent Service Center, providing one-on-one counseling services including resume revision, interview skills guidance and career planning for graduates.

Meanwhile, brand-new functional zones such as AI-powered employment experience booths, talent policy consultation desks and military recruitment consultation counters were launched for the first time. They deliver one-stop services ranging from career assessment and resume polishing to policy interpretation and rights protection support. The integrated offline direct recruitment plus online empowerment service model fully meets graduates’ job-hunting needs and enterprises’ recruitment demands.

Since the launch of spring campus recruitment campaigns, the college has invited human resources authorities from various districts and key employers to hold on-campus recruitment activities, organizing over 100 job talks and conducting enterprise outreach visits to more than 200 enterprises.
As the employment promotion work for the Class of 2026 enters a critical stage, the college will take this job fair as an opportunity to fully address graduates’ employment needs. It will strictly implement targeted assistance policies for disadvantaged graduates, carry out refined and professional college-specific recruitment events, improve the employment service system in an all-round way, and strive to fulfill all annual employment targets.
